I've always loved that song! You've got a great singing voice and a great smile. Lovely to see you. Hope you post more videos.

Humble thanks to you Momcat...

I think its one of the most profound statements about love ever composed... And it speaks to exactly the place where I find myself right now.

Love and light to you my friend,

M

I’ve always loved this song. Listening to your heart felt rendering, its meaning resonates even deeper.

How seasons complete each other. Without winter, there would be no gestation. Without vulnerability, no bloom.

my love to you, dear friend.
May your heart slumber and dream beneath the comfort of snow.

We recently lost two young men in our community...fathers, husbands, sons, brothers, friends. A dear friend has reminded me through her own tears that the pain we feel at the loss is evidence of our capacity for love, and would we dare trade it for comfort? Not I..."...it's the heart afraid of breaking that never learns to dance..."

Keep singing, keep dancing...through pain and joy...and thank you for your compassion, generosity, and courage, dear unmet friend.

Dancing...

I have to admit, when I realized this was post was going to be you singing, I clapped my hands in excitement... such a beautiful voice, more so because you convey so much emotion in what you sing.

Love to you, and all whom your song touches,
(((hugs))),

Ah, Maithri, you do know how to start my day with a beautiful glow! I'll be stopping by to listen again several more times during the day. You do bring hope and joy with your faith in a better world to be.

Have a beautiful weekend, enjoy and know that you are loved!

Okay Maithri bear with me here.

I love your music. Love it. I remember the first song I heard was when you sang about a little girl whose Mom died of cancer. I love the song you did with the boys in Swaziland. I basically love all of your songs.

Okay here is my brilliant idea.

How about putting them all on a CD and offering them up for sale. You could get a picture of Tessa's to put as the cover for the CD.

I was thinking because money is hard to come by that the CD could be shipped to our homes making the total price of the CD $20 including shipping.

That way the money could be raised for Swaziland because as you know people like to get something for their buck.

What do you think?

By the way do you remember what post that song about the girl whose Mom died is from.

Love Renee xoxoxo

p.s. we could pay for it through paypal.

I love the song and your singing but sadly Renee's idea could have problem with royalties which would eat into any profit.

Today, I was posting about Peace and remembering a man who has given us some of the most beautiful songs about love.

And a little voice said "you haven't visited Maithri in a long time... go say hello".

I'm glad I listened to that voice so that I was blessed with hearing yours.

Peace to you, dear one.

Dear Friends,

Thank you for your warmth which wraps around me like a blanket this morning... Its actually heading into summer here...but still kinda chilly i gotta say ;)

Renee I love the CD idea my friend... And in fact next year when I head to Africa I'm hoping to make a CD of inspirational songs with a Swazi choir... and we'll sell it, sending the profits to PDI.

Much love to you all,

M

Do you guys have like Australian Idol? Lol! You have such a beautiful Soul, Maithri, and Heart... your expression of them is awesome!... and what a song to share with us... thank you for that!

The voice of a heavenly angel....and those smiling eyes. It's the eyes that do it for me, every time!! Seriously, M, you have a voice that makes the listener soar into another realm.

Maithri, Renee is right on the mark. A CD of your songs would make the most fantastic Christmas gift, I'd buy one for everybody I know! Oh, and as you know Alex will back you all the way when you produce the Swazi recordings. (Her channel has been nominated for the Hot Bird awards in Venice again this year. Woohoo!)xxx

PS. Just seen Brian's comment about royalties. He is right, of course, but I wonder if that would be a problem if you just sold the CD privately to raise funds for PDI?

Beautiful beautiful words and your voice to match, what a treat. Thank you to the piano player too, I can't sing but maybe I could do that!
I hope you can do Renee's and Tessa's idea. I'm sure it would be a great success Maithri.
Thank you for such a lovely start to the day.
love, lori

Hello Maithri,

I thought you could be busking for PDI on the blogosphere and then I read Renee's comment. It's a more creative idea. There's a lot of us who would like to have you sing for us on command..lol.

Keep singing for us doc!

Much love to you.

You and I seriously have the SAME taste in music. Here you are singing another of my favorite songs. One of these days, you and I will sing together. I just know it.
