Permission to Laugh

Dear Friends,

I'm back home!! Life has been moving so fast lately, I've not been a very good blogger and I apologise. ;) On September 1st, the first day of Spring, I'll announce on this blog the big news which I'm so desperate to share with you all....

I cant remember the last time I felt so alive, so juicy, so grateful.

Thank you for all your loving emails. This post is in response to all those who asked about my 'prescriptions for laughter'.... I couldnt do them in Swaziland y'all - i was writing from a vet clinic! seriously... ;)

But now that i'm well and truly home again, I searched the internet and found some hilarious stuff to share with you...

Now I was talking about African vets before... So here's the 'whose line' teams take on 'Tarzan'... Hilarious!!!!

I grew up on the TV show friends... My family were and still are to some extent friends addicts....I'm sure i've seen every episode a dozen times.... Here are some very funny (Rare) bloopers from the show...

And finally a dramatic look to end all dramatic looks... ;)

May winged joy surround you,

Maithri

Always appreciate your sweet comments on my blog. Thank you, my dearest friend!

You are right- laughter is a good medicine. they've even done studies on it- in Brazil I think? they used clowns on surgical wards and found post-op recovery times reduced!

I love Friends and really enjoyed the bloopers!

Hi darling. I know it's been awhile. I KNOW! Trust me. I've become very familar with potiatry after nearly breaking my face and actually braking my ankle. My doctors and techs are all involved with Doctor's Without Borders and I told them about you. They're very interested. My darling tech who cast my cast is a brilliant man and looks almost like you. I smile when I see him. I told him about you and your work. They travel to North Africa, India and Figi. I think you all should meet. I'm confident it would be a match made in Heaven. Let me know if you're interested darling. I've given them your website and know they will arrive. Dave is the tech and an absolute gem of a guy. He could be your twin. Seriously. Dr. Amvar is a Podiatrist (works with Kaiser in CA). He's a damn hoot. He's smart, funny and just up your alley!!! Trust me!

And honey, I saw something beautiful and posted it on my blog. Take a look. I posted it for you, so don't disappoint. You're welcome. Never give up.

Love you dear and so happy to see you doing what you do best.

XO

Hey Maithri, Its very difficuly to make people laugh, coz layghter and joy are the two words missing from the modern day vocabulary, since we are so self possessed that we just forget to explore our emotions..we just forget to peep out thru the right side of the window(http://aspaceofonesown.blogspot.com/)Thanks for geeting the smile back on each one of us, especially on those who forgot the spirit behind a smile.
All the very best for your kind endeavours. Bless you :)
Sana

Love conveys its messages in infinite languages, packages, forms and also formless states. In gratitude for all you do and all you are. Timeless blessings!

Laughter crosses all boundries and heals the spirit.
My dear departed MIL spoke little English, but would watch 'I love Lucy', and laugh until she cried.

Have I told you yet how much I needed this. It's so good to be reminded once again to laugh. I think one of the best gifts we can have is to laugh at ourselves. Good thing, too. I have an awful lot to laugh at.
