What's in your shoe?

Be master of your petty annoyances and conserve your energies for the big, worthwhile things. It isn't the mountain ahead that wears you out - it's the grain of sand in your shoe.

Maithri, this is very beautiful! :) Boy, do I miss Siteki .. so much. Annie is at my house in California now, and we're sitting down and thinking about this children's book. Anyways, this is a lovely picture! I hope things are well back home :)

Hey Stevie and Annie!

Great to hear from you, thank you for all you did for the people of Swaziland through your art work and your mission to 'promote peace'....which you most certainly did!

You guys are inspirational.

How was the Paris Pixar thing?

All the best with Childrens book, let me know when its done so I can promote it here on the blog.

Lots of love, Maithri

That does ring true. Yet the mountain itself can seem daunting, the climb exhausting, yet the vista is well worth it!

Yes it is true but sometimes other people shoes are coming on the way too.But yes,if everyone removes what's in their shoes, then everyone will be at peace. It's personnal,so we have to do it on our own.No one can remove what is in someone else's shoe, simply because they don't know how it feels to be in their shoes,so yeah..lol.Ok,I go now!:D
Nice post Maithri!Have a nice day!

What true words! But then I always know I will find those here and they always bring a lovely light to my day. You bring that light to many of us with every post.

My love to you, my dearest friend.

Ah, yes. The sand. And, only until you've walked in someone else's sandy shoes, will you ever know how easy your own walk is.

Lovely, Maithri.

When I walk home from a swim at our beach, I often still have some sand in my shoes. I even like it. Can`t we just accept our little bits of sand? They remind us of the great things we have experienced.
Maithri, I am so glad about your blog. It always makes me feel good.

Hi Maithri,

This is so true. Often times pettiness derails us and keeps us from spreading love.

Sending you warm hugs from across the ocean. Keep up the love my angel.

Nothing but love for you.

Kia ora Maithri,
A great thought, cheers. I leave for the mountains in the morning, and I don't think it is sand I have to worry about in my boot, it is snow!

Maithri,
It is so true that we don't take care of what is right there with us. What we notice is our responsibility...and that's why you have to continue to remember the people of Swaziland.
Beautiful photo here... I think you need a rest...and a strong dose of joy...time to dance. Love to you. <3

Hello Maithri,

What a sublime photo, a wonderful reminder of how magnificent a world we live in. We so often lose perspective as these words from Robert Service so eloquently express.

This world is a more magnificent place for your being in it my friend. :D
